BUSHCRAFT.....This is the original folding Schmidt Packsaw developed by Peter Schmidt of Denmark, Maine in 1950, and sold under the Curtis-Stebbins brand until we purchased the business in 1993. Since then produced by our company Wilfong Woodworks, the only company authorized under Peter Schmidt by license to do so.
Don't be fooled by other saws claiming to be a Schmidt Packsaw. Wilfong Woodworks produces the saws as Peter Schmidt did: solid red oak, aircraft aluminum tension rods, Swedish steel blades, giving many years of reliable service.
When folded there are no sharp edges, and only weigh 1 pound....replacement parts are available.
Each saw has been assembled and tested before shipping. The tension rod may be a tight fit during the first few uses.
NOTE: We have sold our saw business to our nephew here in Colorado. We are now selling our remaining inventory here on Ebay. Soon he will be selling them under the Wilfong Woodworks name...same saw same quality.
