Here's a real blast from the past, over 80 year's worth!
From the 1930's, this Eastman Kodak Six-16 film camera is in excellent shape for its age.
It originally belonged to my grandfather who passed it down to my mother, and then to me.
It uses film size 616, the forerunner to modern 120mm film.
The shutter and f-stops work perfectly in all positions.
The lens however does show signs of fungus/cloudiness.
There is a viewfinder at the top left corner of the lens housing that swivels 90 degrees. It also is cloudy and may have a prescriptive lens installed from my grandfather's days.
The bellows are in outstanding condition but there are some small pinholes that can only be detected by means of shining a bright light into the open back in the dark. (See towards the top of Photo # 8 above) The small pin prick light holes are on the top sides of the bellows. Cosmetically, they appear to be in great shape, almost like new, especially compared to other examples for sale out here, there is no sign of creasing or wear.
The camera itself is clean with only minor signs of use on the exterior, primarily the bottom which is not shown in the photos above as I ran out of room, but I do have a photo that I can send if you are a serious Buyer.
There are two serial numbers. One is on the front of the lens mount (#53991) and one on the top of the lens to the left of the f/stop and shutter speed levers (# 44322).
The lens operates from between f/11 and f/32, and the shutter speeds are Timer, Bulb, 1/25, 1/50, and 1/100.
The camera measures 8" x 4.25" x 1.5" with the case fully closed, and 5.75" with the bellows extended.
The item weighs 1 lb 10 oz.
616 film is no longer available so I am obviously selling this as a display piece for a collection.
There are other Six-16 cameras listed for sale however, if you look at the front of the lens housings, they look like they are older models. This appears to be the most recent model of the camera produced.
