  • Condition: CONDITION: Our wonderful green Floral and Diamond Banded butter dish was produced by The U.S. Glass Company. This beautiful piece is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. The color is striking. The pattern is fabulous. The butter is in exceptionally good condition. As with all Floral and Diamond Banded pieces the mold seams are more pronounced than on many other Depression Era patterns. The butter bottom has a common shear mark in the bottom which is in most all Floral and Diamond Banded and Aunt Polly butter bottoms. This lovely piece is one of the nicest early U.S. Glass butters we have had. You will love adding this attractive piece to your collection.

    Our wonderful green Floral and Diamond Banded butter dish
    was produced by The U.S. Glass Company. This beautiful piece is in
    Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage.
    The color is striking. The pattern is fabulous. The butter is in exceptionally  good condition.  As with all Floral and Diamond Banded pieces the mold seams are more pronounced than on many other Depression Era patterns.     Floral and Diamond Banded (1927 - 1931) (Crystal, Iridescent, Green, Pink)

    Floral and Diamond Banded is a striking pressed glass pattern that was produced by the U.S. Glass Company in the late 20s and early 30s. U. S. Glass produced five sets that had the look and feel of both Pattern Glass, and Depression Glass. Strawberry, Cherryberry, Aunt Polly, Spiral Optic, and Floral and Diamond Banded were the  patterns produced in this series.  The main colors found are pink and green.  A few items in both crystal and iridescent marigold have been found.  The glass was heavy, with a deep pressed pattern. Although, thick and more crudely made then later Depression Glass sets, the colors combined with the charming patterns and shapes made this dishware popular.  The largest plate available in the Floral and Diamond Banded pattern is 8" in diameter. While not the easiest pattern to find for sale, Floral and Diamond Banded has a charm of its own and is well worth searching for.
