Tiffin Black Glass Echec Checkered Handled Vase Gold Trim Vintage Elegant

Description

This is a heavy Tiffin Glass black handled vase in the Echec Checkered Pattern. It has a gold rim and gold bead on the foot. The pattern is alternating satin and glossy blocks. The handles are scrolls, and note the last photo ---a glimpse of the only thin glass on this piece which is at the very edge of one of the handles, and shows this as black amethyst. This is a beautiful example of early Tiffin.
Condition: Used is "Used". No chips, cracks or repairs. The gold is good with some light wear (see photos). There are two blocks with what I consider minor abrasions ---please see photos to make your own determination. The first two pictures show the two sides of the vase.
Measurements: 10 1/2" tall, 5 3/4" across top of vase.
