This massive medal, which weighs about 5 1/2 ounces and measures nearly 65mm in diameter was struct in vrey limited number by the US Mint. It's certainly not to be purchased for its silver content alone but rather as a quite scarce official mint medal struck for the Century 21 Exposition.  If you just want pure bullion, you'd be better off selecting one of the myriad opportunities out there.
On the other hand if you would like a beautiful and official medal commemorating the world's fair by the US Mint, this is a great opportunity. At today's silver prices this piece contains around 5 in pure silver.
These were sold in the in the numismatic headquarters at the fair, the white steel building that housed the one million original silver dollars on display, again supplied by the US Mint.
The medal is in the original Mint box, and wrapped in the original cello and paper.
