Here is a great example of mighty MAGNATONE ESTEY production year 1965 As close to a new as can gets near MINT Condition. I believe was the first year factory moved from West Coast to PA and all amplifiers was made with surplus stock left and moved from California to PA. I am the original owner and listed for the first time. Original cover (Plastic) with the pouch at the one side as shown in the pictures has no damage or any rips to store your pedals, cords, etc. Usually is very hard to find cover in this condition since is not made from fabric and plastics do crack over the years from weather elements.
That of course has to do how the amp kept and credit goes to the owner. All electronic devices and components used in production was the best money can buy high end. However the cabinets not as good as Fender produced and not so attractive. These amps was much expensive than Fender Amplifiers back then. However, Fender's durability and style was superb and soon after Magnatone had to close their doors and could not compete.
The 12" speaker is original and manufactured by UTAH (Thanks to a knowledgeable viewer who brought to my attention) and I have no clue about the tubes and how many are and I am not open anything to find out. With now modern technology you can find all your answers in the internet. Being Ampeq ET-2 my first choice this amp was my third favored amplifier of all times. I used this amp in the house and never left home. All knobs are Mint there is no discoloration and all lettering is crisp. The midnight blue tolex has the sparkles that was in style back in 60's and does glows believe it or not. The rubber side bumpers are soft and not dried. There is only problem that I just noticed earlier prior listing that the Flat GE strip is not light. However was very much common problem to go bad and replacement are still available because I have 2X12 similar that I am keeping it and was repaired by reputable tech locally that I happen to know him for the passed 35 years or so. The model 2X12 do have two strips and the cost was .00 each are available from California that was some 5-7 years ago I am sure prices may have gone up another 10 box? You need only one!
Like I said since I am not using it I forgot all together the lighter instrument panel. That is the only think I can report. The footswitch and paperwork at present are NOT INCLUDED because I have no clue were they are. The metal bracket to put the amp in tilt position included and pictured. I will be gladly include and give it to you if I locate them during the item listed. Assuming you purchased the amp and down the road I find them at some point will turn up I will be more than happy to mail to you at later day at no extra charge.
I have long list for the passed few years that buyers purchased my guitars and amplifier and we still are contact. After money spent the only thing you have are the memories and the letters I received and their pictures and that to me is a priceless.
Anyway if you are in market for great sounding vintage guitar amplifier and you can afford it here is your chance. This is investment opportunity for some that will rapidly will appreciate in value and demand as time goes by. This 51 year old amplifier is in showroom condition.
