No return valve is needed:
FEDOUR 4-outlet air pumps should be installed higher than the water level to prevent the water from flowing back into the air pump.
Return valve is needed:
If you install the aquarium air pump lower than the water level, return valves should be needed, otherwise the water in the air hose will flow back into the air pump, causing damage to the air pump.

Installation of Return Valve
The return valve should be installed correctly, the larger end should be installed close to the air pump, and the smaller end should be installed close to the air stone.
Tip: Before using the air eturn valve, pass a thin object( Such as the needle) through it to avoid internal stickiness, which will make the air flow more smooth.
Replaceable Filter Cotton
Filter cotton can filter the impurities in the air.
Extra air cotton is provided for replacement, extending the service life of the air pump.
